IF YOU'VE NOT DONE THIS BEFORE

Crewing on an ocean going sailboat is not just a
getaway from work.  It will likely be harder work than
a typical day in your office.  It will also be completely
different.

Day one, after coming aboard and meeting the rest
of the crew, you will spend the evening discussing
the itinerary, learning about "standing watch",
building a final grocery shopping list, etc.  The next
day is spent stowing food and gear and making final
preparations to depart.  If the latest weather forecast
is favorable, we will leave day three with the
morning high tide. If the weather forecast mandates
staying in port, this is your time to explore the area.

You will discover that there are no hired
crewmembers onboard.  All aboard rotate through all
duties. You will watch for traffic, navigate and trim
sails to the best of your ability.  You will also cook
and clean.  And so will the Captain.  It's just like a
Bed and Breakfast except you have to make your
own bed...and breakfast.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

While you need no prior sailing experience before
coming aboard Snow Goose, you will have plenty of
experience by the time you leave!
